A trip to the dumpster with this one and a purchase from a competitor fixed all problems.
Problems were same as many others found -
1. comes with cable that prevents the carrier from opening, instructions don't even mention the cable or how to route.
2. webstrap across middle is too short to allow carrier to accomodate kayak.
3. kickstand is too short, carrier is tilted too far and falls over when using kickstand.
4. foam pads are poor quality, don't roll to assist in loading kayak.
The metal tubing, useless cable, and too short webstrap appear to be the only components with any quality, just don't work.

Bought this cart for my inflatable sea eagle 370. the kayak itself isnt heavy but i like taking extra gear without having to make several trips from my car to the loading dock. i strap my kayak (once inflated) to the cart and then fill the kayak with gear. I strap the cart tight just infront of the 2 rear skegs. the cart wheels come deflated but its no problem for me since my kayak is light. i've never had to inflate the wheels and they roll just fine. i guess that means the tires are tough as nails. overall i love my cart.

This is for my 12' Ocean Kayak. It is mainly used to go from the parking lot to the beach. It does pretty well with a fully loaded kayak (paddle, fishing rods, ice chest, etc) at around 100 lbs and it rolls adequately on the beach sand for its size tires. What I do like the best is how it collapses and I can store it inside my front kayak hatch so I can take it with me. Other pluses are price, aluminum body, and portability.
The two things I would improve upon would be the strapping system and the foam pads. The straps slide up and down the frame and are never where I want them to be. The fix would be to have fixed tabs on the frame where to loop the straps through. That would make the setup much easier. The foam pads are too small and soft. Once you tighten the straps, the pads collapse to the point of not being useful at all. I guess I can replace with my own.
Overall, I would recommend this product with the understanding that it is not a %100 solution. But at that price, it's better and cheaper than fabricating your own out of PVC pipe.

Excellent, nice big inflatable tires...Very sturdy....We bought a competing product for about the same price and it had nowhere near the quality as this. Well worth the money

Essentially no assembly required and worked "right out of the box". The wheels roll nicely making moving my kayak to the water's edge simple and easy.
